The Sri Lankan community in Milan recently joined an intercultural gathering hosted at the Church of Scientology, focused on dialogue, integration and shared ethical values. The meeting highlighted shared values and community dialogue in Milan, using the common-sense moral code written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a basis for discussion.

The event gave families, community leaders and young people a space to discuss responsibility, mutual respect eu newspapers and the role of values in integration. A particular focus was placed on younger generations, with Sri Lankan community leaders encouraging youth participation so that young people could become familiar with ethical principles that may guide future choices.

Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the European Union, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the United Nations, said such initiatives show how shared values can build trust across cultures. Across Europe, Scientology churches, missions and volunteers carry out community initiatives focused on education, prevention and neighbourhood-level support.
